There are a few points during the interview in which there wasn't time to respond to a major issues raised, one being that amending the Constitution to clarify that the 14th Amendment should read "All Natural Persons", to make it clear that the 14th Amendment was NEVER intended to protect "artificial corporate persons," is not a complicated thing to do. Dave felt it would open up a can of worms. I point out we're already in a can of worms because of the way corporations have exploited the 14th Amendment, and that the task is a simple one. There would certainly be opposition to such an amendment by those corporations benefiting, but that's to be expected. But anticipating opposition is not a very good reason not to do everything we can to close THE PRIMARY LEGAL LOOPHOLE that has allowed them to take over everything. This one little ambiguous legal description at the beginning of the 14th Amendment "All Persons" is the only thing that allows them to legally interfere with our government and election process.
So what I meant by saying "the first thing we need to do is stop telling ourselves it a very difficult thing, that what I meant. What we need to do is a simple thing. We have to clarify "legally" that the 14th Amendment was never intended to protect artificial corporate persons. If we all united around doing this, no opposition mounted by corporations could prevail. I believe we only need 2/3 of the states to ratify such an amendment. Don't you think ending the reign of corporate control of our government and election process would be worth the effort? We have to eliminate the "legal" contrivance that allow these criminals to get away with what they are doing. We simply cannot stop it until we make it totally clear that corporations are NOT people and DO NOT deserve human rights protections. Amending the Constitution IS doable, and if anything WILL CLOSE UP THE CAN OR WORMS leaving the loophole there creates. We hope you enjoy this interview. It's fun and informative.
