While We Celebrate Being Kinged, We're Being Checkmated!
Picking up from last week's theme of "We're Playing Checkers . . . They're Playing Chess," many of us believe that we've won a great victory after the last election because one of our checkers was kinged. Many of us even believe we've won the game, that everything will be alright now because we have a smart, genuine man with a great heart and noble intentions in the game now. Our new King will save the day.
However the problem is the same one I emphasized last week. We think the last election was the real game. It wasn't. We played a simple-minded game that has had absolutely no effect on the real game of chess that's going on at the same time. What really happened was the people playing the real game, the chess game, just replaced the previous King Bush piece with the new King Obama piece. The exact same people are still in charge of the whole game. They are still in control of the chess pieces on both sides of the board and we aren't even in the game.
The fact is the real game, the chess game, has been going on for decades. This current game could be said to have started back in the late 1800s a decade or so before the Federal Reserve Act was passed in 1913. That piece of legislation handed total control of our money over to the private bankers. If you're not aware, the Federal Reserve is no more Federal than Federal Express. It is totally run by private bankers for the benefit of private bankers.
Since the Federal Reserve Act was passed almost 100 years ago, these powerful private interests have slowly consumed our Federal Government. Their monopoly power over our monetary system has allowed them to seize all the other powers of government and have used it to impose their will onto every area of our lives, from education, to industry, to healthcare . . . all of it. There is literally nothing they haven't woven their selfish tentacles into.
The primary means they've used to take over so much is their control of Congress and the legislative process. By controlling the relatively small handful of people in Congress, they control the whole game. Many people discount the notion that a handful of people can control the whole show. They believe that it's impossible for a few individuals to control so much. But think about it. There are over 300 million people in the United States, yet 535 representatives are dictating the fate of everyone else in the country. This small group of people in Congress has determined the course of events that have transformed our society into something that is totally unrecognizable as the country many of us were born into. Entire generations have grown up and were brainwashed to accept the Corporate Colonialism that has almost completely replaced our Constitutional Republic.
Powerful private interests have seized control of our government roughly 100 years ago and have methodically used that control to expand the reach of government until it's invaded every area of our lives. Our country was founded on the ideal of maximum freedom from government has turned into the exact opposite. We literally have millions of rules, regulations and statutes to define every minute detail of what we can and can't do. The powers-that-be have put so much in place; so much technology, so many bureaucracies, global institutions and treaties, Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) and so many police operations that we are literally a hair's breath away from checkmate, game over.
Political Identity Is Killing This Nation
We find ourselves in the situation we're in primarily because we have allowed a handful of people to lead us around by the nose. We have swallowed their lies and manipulations without question for decades. It's time to snap out of it don't you think? It time to reclaim our authority over our government and stop being played for absolute fools. We have to stop falling for every single political contrivance that molds us into extreme political identities. These identities are what keep us deeply divided and impotent. We are hammered 24/7 with the "far left" and "far right" points of view, pounding us, beating us upside the head with purely political theatrics in order to make us believe it's real. It's not real. It's a con!
The extreme political ideologies we are bombarded with have nothing to do with what's happening. These political ideologies have nothing to do with how our government is being run, nothing to do with how it's being used to destroy everything we hold dear. What does the so-called banker bailout have to do with extreme left or extreme right political ideologies? What does the nightmare healthcare bill have to do with extreme political ideologies? Nothing. They have nothing to do with what's being done and with how things really work.
We are constantly being manipulated, constantly being played against each other, political, racially, religiously, sexually, in every way you can think of. As long as those in power can keep us fighting with each other, they are free to do whatever the heck they want with utter impunity. WE are doing it to ourselves folks. We have nobody to blame but ourselves.
If you are someone with a strong political identity, if you're a die-hard Liberal or a die-hard Conservative, you need to ask yourself what the hell has your party done to make this country better? Seriously. What the hell has either main political party done to make this country better? Both parities are responsible for where we are. Both parties totally ignore the Constitution because if they enforced it they couldn't be doing what they are doing with the powers of government. It's one big selfish free-for-all. They do their unrelenting song and dance about how important it is whether liberals or conservatives are running the show but when you do an honest assessment of what both parties are doing, there is no difference between them.
If You Want To Save Our Nation You Must Be Willing To Sacrifice Your Political Identity!
One thing you hear more and more lately from our members of Congress and our President is we are going to have to do with less. We're going to have to sacrifice more to get through the mess we're in. A recent Microsoft commercial mirrored this by actually saying, "The New More Is Less." If you're as sick as I am of hearing how we have to do with less while those with the most are getting even more then you must be willing to become revolutionary. You must be willing to sacrifice something that's really worth sacrificing . . . your political identity.
We all have to become Americans first and do what needs to be done to save our country. If you are going to show more allegiance to your political party than you are to our nation as a whole, then you have no right to complain any longer about what's happening to it. Your political party allegiance is what is destroying this nation because it's the main thing that ensures incumbents are re-elected over and over. It splits the power of our votes right down the middle and allows them to tamper with the vote counts just enough to keep the same people in Congress.
The only way we can hold the current Congress and the Democrat and Republican Parties accountable for what they've done to our country is to make them irrelevant in the next election. We have to declare a moratorium on party politics, become political atheists and treat the coming elections as a purely utilitarian act. We have to go and vote the way we must vote to maximize the odds of making sure the incumbents LOSE!
We have to vote dispassionately and strategically. We simply have to throw all our votes to the strongest challenger of the incumbents, which will either be a Democrat or a Republican. It's that simple. If we do this in huge numbers, the vote tampering will not be able to stop it. It has to be huge numbers though.
You have to decide what's more important, your political party or your country. If you think it's preferable to continue watching exactly the same people selling you out for another two years than it is vote for the "other party candidate," then you have no right to complain about what's happening. You need to just shut the hell up and make your peace with the fact that your country is going to die.
If you think it's preferable to make members of Congress pay for what they've done then you need to "get over your party identity" and help us convince every voter and non-voter in the country to show up election day and vote these bums out of office. This is no longer about political parties. This is no longer about individual candidates. This is about saving our nation from utter ruin.
Listen, even if voting out everyone doesn't change a darn thing (which isn't likely) at least the people currently in Congress will pay a price for what they've done. At the very least, they will be denied one more second in the Congress. For me, even if it doesn't change a darn thing, at the very least IT WILL FEEL REALLY GOOD TO DO IT!
